Saks confirms November 23 in its October 13 announcement for the “Main Character Energy” holiday campaign. The light show and holiday windows are part of the same unveiling.

Where to watch the lights
The flagship is at 611 Fifth Avenue, between East 49th and East 50th Streets. View the facade from the public sidewalk opposite the store, on the Rockefeller Center side of Fifth Avenue. Cross only at designated crossings and follow any pedestrian controls.
The lights and music make this a natural evening stop. Leave room for people to pass, keep children close and expect busy sidewalks during December evenings. A straight-on view is attractive for photos, but access depends on crowd management.
A Christmas evening in Midtown
Our suggested route connects Bryant Park with Fifth Avenue, Saks and Rockefeller Center. Keep a warm indoor break and dinner nearby; add Radio City or Broadway only if the performance time leaves enough room.
The light show is free to view and needs no paid admission ticket. Skating, observation decks and guided walks are separate paid activities. Check the Rockefeller Christmas tree dates separately: the Saks opening does not mean the tree is already lit.
